We do very well considering the size of our club, but surely no-one can deny that WH are bigger and better supported than us
I'm not denying that.
Last week we beat Spurs to the signing of the German U17 captain.
All I'm saying is that West Ham isn't Man City. Guarantee Bloom, Barber, Weir and RDZ aren't thinking we can't compete against the likes of West Ham.

Kids yes, because they can see that they will get to first team football sooner. Not established Pros.
Hard to compete with clubs who sign the likes of elite established players who want 6 figure salaries and Champions League football - agreed.
ALbion have a small stadium, relatively smaller income and lower half table salary leevel.
However its not just teens who are impressed with the 1st team pathway -Liverpool wanted to keep Milner and Kompany wanted him at Burnley, and Estupinan, Cucurella, Dahoud, Igor are/were well established pros , with extensive European experience who chose Brighton.

They chose Brighton without competition from the big Prem league clubs. We can now out-pay most except the European elite and biggest Prem teams so of course they were happy to choose us.

Well Milner chose to come to us rather than stay at Liverpool. But yes - as i said we can't compete on wages with the elite European teams who have bigger stadiums, incomes and even richer owners.

Aren't we still the 4th/5th lowest paying teams in the league. We are probably one of the only teams not to have at least one player on over 100k a week.

Would be interesting to know if that’s still true. Wouldn’t be suprised if Dunk is around or over that now.

Simply put no one knows it's complete guess work. Makes me chuckle when posters say on here blah is on blah, really? They guess so as to look itk but they know f*** all like the rest of us.

According to a dullard who is paid to know these things then our total wage bill is still bumping around the bottom of the PL and the average PL wage for the Albion was (based on 21/22 accounts) around 60K a week or so.

Two seasons ago then since when we've hit 6th and Europe. Since then we've signed high profile players given new contracts to Mac A MC and LD. Therefore it's pure guesswork like I said.
