Is he still holding out for something better than Brighton to come along? If so, it's not a good look as far as I'm concerned - I'd rather get rid (for huge amounts of money) of players who don't want to be he than buy them!

It's all part of the game. No doesn't always mean no in football transfers.

Pervis and Enciso both rejected us at first.

Maybe it comes down to our famous data bank. We can see something in his skillset that others aren't quite on to?
Yup. Certain our data is flagging him for a central role whereas less nuanced scouting teams will be looking at him as a 7- see the Arsenal links as cover for Saka. They're not going to pay 40 million simply as cover for their best player.

That's a stretch!! Even transfermkt has this

Main position:
Attacking Midfield
Other position:
Centre-Forward
Right Winger

I'm not saying it's a secret.
Just that different teams are looking to fill different positions.

To balance this you could say the same about Mitoma v Luton he was outstanding Saturday we know he’s good although another fan might say it’s only Luton they are crap
Yep but I've seen a lot of him. I watch most Ajax games. West ham his level.

I've got no problem at all with Kudus stringing this out. It's in his interests to do so. He has no loyalty to us over his current club or any other prospective purchasers.

He'll know that at the end of the window he'll have other options and if the outcome is stay at Ajax for another 6 months or a year, well, that's not exactly the worst club from which to launch your career.

We still have a chance of making this transfer.

Think that's applicable to a Guatamalan player or some obscure African country but not so much for a player in a major.league. IMHO.
Jesus. Ok, we get it, you don’t like Kudus. Stop banging on about it. We get the message ffs.

Could this be like the Livramento saga?

We reject a very good player because the terms didn’t provide us value. It turned out Southampton made the right choice with Tino and made a nice profit. I hope we don’t make the same mistake with this guy and let him go to the Hammers.

No deal between the clubs, so this is being leaked by his agent. Why?

Is he trying to get us to raise our contract offer?
Very tenuous isn't it?
West Ham won't even make an offer if they don't sell Paqueta and are yet to make a formal bid.
This is pure agent talk.

‘West Ham about his level’

People have really forgotten who we are haven’t they :lolol: West Ham won a European competition last season, historically are a much bigger and better supported club than us and can pay higher wages.
