So now he's not that good anyway and we've dodged a bullet? That changed quickly from everyone jizzing themselves on the first 10 pages 🤣.

Unpopular opinion I know, but...
I haven't changed my tune. This potential signing has me far less excited than when we signed Jahanbagash.
For what it's worth I still think it'll happen and I'll support the guy as I do every player.
My concern is paying so much for a largely unproven entity from a nothing league, coupled with all the hype, if he doesn't hit the ground running there'll be a huge amount of disappointment; I'm just getting mine in early.
I don't think he'll be terrible, maybe just mediocre in the Prem.
So to sum it up, not bothered.

It was a simple miscommunication. We thought someone's mate's uncle met him and said he was shitehouse, but they didn't, they said he was shite.

It would have been great if we could have signed him and I'm hoping we still can.
But if Kudus doesn't join us, with that kind of budget I'm sure we can get an equally impressive player.

Whatever is going on with both transfers there's clearly a link and an indication of things to come. We are going to need a few years of success to keep our better players, even if they've just signed a contract, and to entice/afford a higher profile player.

Even if he is going to be a great player, we really don’t want anyone here who doesn’t want to be here. ( Micky Thomas from early 1980s as an example).
Compare that to Igor who has been Mr positivity since he’s arrived, and the fabulously talented Joao Pedro who has settled in brilliantly.
Kudus is clearly not motivated enough to commit to us. Shame but we can’t help that. We don’t have the standing of an Arsenal who have also been linked this window. He’d have got more opportunity here but if he can’t see that, it’s his problem, not ours.
It’s interesting that we’ve been after Cole Palmer who, whilst not as versatile, also plays at RW. I wonder whether our recruitment team have already moved on in their thinking from Kudus and a deal for Palmer may be close.
Perhaps the 48 hour deadline was requested by us as a means of finalising his lack of interest in joining before we make our move for Palmer?

yes but it’s not something that’s going to magically fall into our laps. we’re going to need to be forceful at certain points, in order to make that happen, like we are now

Judging by the smoke signals Kudus is a greedy **** and would be far better suited to an immediate move to Chelsea where he will join all the other greedy ****s sucking on the rich yankee nipple.

if it was dead and buried wouldn’t naylor have told us by now? isn’t that his specialty?
He gets a quiet satisfaction from it obviously.

But he surely much prefers winding up Big Six fans. You could see how much he enjoyed the Caicedo saga in relation to Arsenal fans on twitter, he positively revelled in pressing their ‘entitled’ buttons.

I do think figures of €40m are scary for a club our size and it makes me nervy. So I’m not bothered one way or the other personally but if the men in charge want him ?

Tried to search the Internet and the main stories don’t say it’s off - but NSC seems to have multiple posters saying it is - is there any actual update today from a good source?!

I wonder if we won't commit until we know if caecido is definitely going. Although different positions still is another expensive head in midfield.
Nowt to do wih us not committing, by all accounts - it seems pretty clear that it's the player who is stalling on the deal (hoping for a bid coming in from a bigger club (or bigger paying club, of you prefer) perhaps?)

Starting to wonder if this will be a player who's ego is too big for his boots. Don't want some Billy Big Bollocks unsettling the squad, and I like a few others won't worry if this transfer doesn't happen. Sounds more suited to a move to the Chavs or Saudi.

I’m not going to write this guy off as greedy. If he’s sought after, it makes perfect sense not to jump at the first offer that comes along - annoying as that is. Really it’s down to Albion to set the ultimatum of ‘sign now or forget it’. Otherwise, he’s perfectly entitled to hold off until the last couple of days of the transfer window.
