What's your favourite?

I quite enjoy "Up the Gary!" (disclaimer: I'm not insinuating that I personally enjoy it up the Gary, I merely enjoy the phrase)

Nottingham Rhyming Slang

It's a bit Derby Road - it's cold

(pronunciation is not in the conventional English fashion up here, cold does rhyme with road in Nottingham)

Kind of like 'up the Gary', but I like using 'council gritter' as a euphemism for SHITTER.

"Get up to much last night then ?"
"Yeah, took my bird up the council gritter. Lovely."

Oh, and the old "f*** me, its PEARL HARBOUR out there today"

(there's a nasty nip in the air)

Meopham, Kent.
An East End mate of mine used to always just make them up as he went along.

"Bloody hell, it's seriously Steve Bould out there today, not a day for my Sky Sports, even had to put my second half on."

An old bloke I knew when referring to a local woman who left her lesbian lover for a man said to me..

"Problem with her is that she's had enough bread in her sandwiches and fancies some jam"

we used to amuse ourselves no end describing cricket teas in mockney rhyming slang...

home baked fruit cakes were always described as nice and "Ally..."

while sandwiches made with anything other than the freshest bread would be criticised for being a bit "Stephen..."

the bowling equivalent of a half-century (5 wickets) was known as a "Michelle"... this was not orignial but we did come up with the rather witty "Athletic" for describing the achievement of someone who fell one short of a nap hand...

These ones not rhyming slang but i like them anyway, teatowel holder and balloon knot when refering to the sphyncter valve.

"Tell You what colonel,I bet you an ayrton senna that after a few uri gellars that cutress woman takes it up the teatowel holder"
over heard at the Falmer village fete ,circa 2003.

Always quite liked "A Pavarotti" - A Tenner and "I'm Frank Bough" - I'm off
