I literally couldn't agree less, it is terrible. Stupid, interchangeable jokes said by a bunch of dickhead 'comedians' sitting there pissing themselves over their own contribution. Would go as far as saying one of the worst shows on television.

its WAY too up its own arse, just a way for a bunch of comedians to compete with each other, trying to 'outfunny' the last person
its a very poor format that is made only vaguely watchable by a good host and the odd decent guest, otherwise it would be the worst show on tv
I like it, and Dara O'Briain is very good live.

Can't stand it - most these things are scripted but not so obviously as that.

He played the Congress in Eastbourne recently, was very good (was also very good there in 2006).
I remember I watched Mock the Week when it started in 2005.
At the time, I saw it as a fresher version of satire which I felt was sadly declining in HIGNFY thanks to the dominance of Paul/Ian and the hit and miss nature of guest presenters. However I quickly realised it seemed like the same jokes every week. Marc's comment about the comedians re-hashing the same jokes is very true, I remember Mark Steele being on it, and as much as I like him, he was using the same jokes as he had on HIGNFY and when I'd seen him live doing stand up!
That said, I do find Hugh Dennis very funny and it's good there is a vehicle for him to be on tv because he isn't on enough things really.
