Typical Britian finding something to moan about amidst great success
It's Somalian rather than British biology in terms of his athletic ability and that's where it falls down for me. Good luck to him, great guy but it never really feels like a British victory. That's biological fact, not racism/xenophobia.
Out of interest Monkey how do you view Bradley Wiggins? British ?
Probably been done to death, but why do the Brits go so overboard about him ? He was born in Somalia and lives in Oregon. Same can be said about some of our cricket and rugby teams (judging by accents in interviews)..........the hysteria about awards gets on my **** , how about the equestrian team ........oh, not such spectacular sports !
Bradley Wiggins is British. It is the UK that the Isle of man is not a part of, not Britain. Its citizens are British.

He was born in Belgium
do you mean Cavendish? Wiggins was born in Belgium
Yes, apologies - I was confusing the two of them. Cav. is the Manxman, not Wiggins. Wiggins still British though.
It is racism and xenophobia because you are saying that you don't consider him British because he is black. Nothing matters other than his "Somalian biology".It's Somalian rather than British biology in terms of his athletic ability and that's where it falls down for me. Born in Belgium with an Australian father.

Mo Farah lives in the UK, he trains in Oregan. He came here when he was 8 years old.
Andy Murray spends half of his time abroad but lives in the UK. Sportsmen have to travel the world for their sport.
Mo Farah has lived in the US since 2011.

Yes. Which is a quarter of the time he lived here for
Didn't realise that about Farah, I take back my earlier comment, he can be considered British then
Casper Ankergren has lived in the UK since 2010
