Can you explain exactly how we could use a subs bench full of kids that Jarrett aside have about 35 minutes of professional football between three of them could give?

The same way that you play a player like Lynch is the first team. If your side are looking tired and jaded with 20 minutes to go and you're under pressure fom the home side then you use every resource available to you to try to prevent losing. McGhee didn't.

But at a time when experienced heads are needed I think not. Whatever way you try and shuffle it it is going to cause a problem somewhere else, you can't move Mayo because he's primarily protecting Carpenter, you could bring on Elphick and move El Abd across but the danger there is unsettling a defence that has held out well for 70 minutes, I cannot think of any other options available, certainly there was no way that either midfielder could be taken off.

I am sick to death of theis treachery and disloyalty.

Dick Knight is NOT going to sack McGhee. FACT.
McGhee is NOT going to resign. FACT.
Therefore, by process of elimination, McGhee will be our manager at the end of the season and beyond. DEAL WITH IT.

When McGhee took on this job, he knew he had f*** all resources to work with, yet he took the job in good faith with his eyes wide open. He still has NO resources to work with. Getting Falmer has changed NOTHING. We have lost other good managers as a result of our predicament. But McGhee has hung on and showed loyalty when he could have walked away, especially from the moaning short-termist throw-cash-at-the-problem glory-hunters.

And what does he get for his loyalty? Abuse.

Some people on here should be f***ing ASHAMED of themselves.

Well said.

What was the worst that could happen? Lose the game?

And we were in the relegation zone for much of last year. Whats new? I reserve judgement until the end of the season.

And presumably you think we should fork out compensation for McGhee as well as the costs of hiring a new manager? Mind you, you're probably one of the lot that thinks we can afford half the decent strikers in the division. :lolol:

No I'm saying that we might not have lost. Even listening to the game you could feel saints would score and how many goals have we let in in the last 10 minutes? Well I know its alot. By simply doing nothing McGhee didn't help the matter.

Today there really was nothing new to bring off the bench. I take the point that some of his selections are 'suprising' (Kuipers today being a very good example) but last season

Us: Stuck with McGhee
Crewe: Stuck with Gradi
Forest: Dumped Kinnear
Gillingham: Dumped Hessenthaler
Rotherham: Dumped Moore

Who stayed up ?

Bring in Zajec as Director of football,or hit McGhee over the head with a big stick and say "You're a bloody good manager. But please stop trying to make two wrongs equal a right.Sack McCammon and play some of the players who know what football is,and try their best to play it .Ooooooh....and play them in their usual positions.Turienzo plays best in Argentina,LK in the Abacus Nursery."
