Maybe not since they actually moved and changed their name, but we HAVE played that club since AFC Wimbledon was formed and there was no call for a boycott or OUR home game against them, only the away one at Selhurst.
What actually happened - and I remember this, because Ian Hart put me up against Charlie Oatway to discuss the issue on SCR - is that AFC Wimbledon were the ones calling for a boycott of Wimbledon FC games at Selhurst. They also invited supporters to show support for AFCW by attending their home games at Kingstonian's ground.

I chose to go to the AFCW game, but I didn't consider that to be any sort of "boycott" of an Albion game.

As Sam Goldwyn said, we've all passed a lot of water under the bridge since then. As far as I'm aware, AFC Wimbledon now consider MK Dons to be an irrelevance, and nothing to do with the heritage of Wimbledon FC.

will consider it with regards to cash and whether i am working - although the chance to abuse kerry mayo in a morgue-style atmosphere is something that i wont turn down lightly

I'll probably go but they should halve ticket prices as, in my opinion, £10 is too much for a game in this competition.

Make it £5 or £6 quid a ticket with kids go free and you could get a half decent crowd. It would be good for the club to really put some serious effort into attracting some new supporters to the club.

If anyone does that - shame on them - their fans deserted thier club, they are now ruining the non league for other teams - with all this true fans/real supporters frigging love ins, i hope they never get in the league again.

I think you've miss read that , what i'm saying is anyone who misses the game to watch AFC wimbledon is not a true Albion fan - they should be supoorting their club - THE ALBION not some bunch of nobodies from the non league who deserted thier club in it's hour of need.

Fair play you want to see Brighton play but nobodies? How many Albion fans do you think would still be faithful if 'Skegness Seagulls' replaced BHAFC and cut all connections with the old Brighton we all know and love? Viva AFC.

I agree with Lord B.

A personal opinion, but I think it's ok to go to the MK Dons.

( as that is the subject of debate even though the game is home )

Yes they stole their place in the league, but I believe they've now handed the "heritage" back.

(someone can correct me on that...)

They are no longer anything to do with the real Merton Club.

However :lolol: , I won't be visiting the Milton Keynes club.

Although I'm from Sussex, I feel a bit of affinity with the South London Club because of where I live and I attended the first ever AFC Wimbledon game.

I've been past the MK stadium a number of times recently and still shudder to think what happened.

That's totally different. Different team, different name, different history, different colours, different fans, different location/stadium, you get the idea. They're only the old Wimbledon by default because they changed their name and shipped off to MK, while AFCW are a new team.
