It’s just the natural evolution of things, always one step further until the boundaries are crossed and punishment is given. Groups and individuals will always try and outdo one another with how “extreme” they can be in their views and actions.

In this case it’s “prank” culture and TikTok shenanigans. It can become very lucrative being an “influencer” albeit in a crowded marketplace and in order to stand out, people are pushing things to extremes, as they always have.

When those extremes reach persistent criminality - some of a rather serious nature - then the courts must set out boundaries and give appropriate
punishments as a deterrent.

If you trespass on someone’s property, or assault them, or steal their property, claiming “it’s a prank” afterwards does not constitute a defence. If anything, it is malice aforethought and demonstrates prior planning.

TL;DR - stupid kid goes too far. Gets punished. Repeats same behaviour as addicted to social media ratios - faces custodial sentence.

I’d call it a new low but the world is full of wallies from the seat of power to the poorest in society.

If he tried to pull this stuff in a rough neighbourhood he’d be stabbed, shot or have the shit kicked out of him - which frankly would save the tax payer money and would make the issue go away very quickly.

I am not saying I want this to happen, I’d like the young man to grow up, get a job and contribute to society. I’m just saying the reality of things.
