Gods country fortnightly
In a market run by grown-ups and not sportwashing super states, oligarchs and American billionaires, Mitoma probably is £30m tops. Or should be.

However the market isn't run by grown-ups and a player with a few appearances and goals can be £5m one minute, 20 games later can be £80m - it is utterly ridiculous we are talking in those terms, but that is the new normal. It is what it is!
Indeed and it will continue all the time the PL shows no backbone

I was curious about this since you asked, the Telegraph says;

“Tim Crow, a sports marketing consultant, told Telegraph Sport last year that the industry standard is for the club to receive between five and 10 per cent of the proceeds from each shirt sale.”
It doesn’t sound much does it ? But if you sold a million I suppose. ( do you know I don’t even know the cost of a shirt)

I would expect that all the naming and other insignia is all money to the club. You can pay another 40 or 50% for that.

I think the £35m Mitoma to Arsenal nonsense could well be very unsettling for Trossard- lost his starting place at Brighton and would expect to be shuffled down the pecking order at Arsenal if Mitoma arrives there

Some people have too much time on their hands...

Not sure why I find this funny, but it's very enjoyable. Probably already been posted, apologies etc.

My 5 yr old is doing the "Love fun run" at school today. This was the brief: "Paper hearts are being sent home in book bags for the children to decorate and wear on the day. We would like the children to run for someone, or something, that they love." I was expecting a picture of mummy and daddy but he did this. Good boy.

Given how important Mitoma has become for us, I very much doubt whether he will be sold any time soon; and when he goes it will be to a top club for a fee north of £100M.

That assist for Ferguson against Southampton was world class. It just gets better each time I watch it. Very few players can do that with the outside of their right foot at high speed.
It's as good as his missed open goal was bad 🤣🤣

To be honest, I think he’s been pretty average this season. He’s missed some glorious chances, often plays the wrong pass or cross, and at times his defensive work has been suspect.

I didn’t think today was much different. It was, as stupid as this sounds, one of the worst good performances I’ve seen in a while.

I think he’ll really come good at some point, especially once Estupinian is really settled back in and once we sort the right hand side out to give the side more balance, but I definitely don’t think he’s had more than a 6/10 season so far.
