I thought if a DD defaulted, they just tried to take it again a couple of days later?
Feels good to bask in the warm glowing warming glow of supporting a community club.
Direct debits - another cancer from the banks to skim money from people by forcing them to use a system full of financial traps.
well, update from my situation....
No missed payments, their system is telling them that i am all paid up to date, as per my bank statements. And the gentleman that i spoke to at the club was very apologetic, and did say that this email had been sent to loads of people in error.
Good old Albion, glad to see that they are checking what they are sending out. I bet this has caused some minor distress to some people.
Someone mentioned earlier in this thread, that maybe they should drop the Direct Debit scheme, you could, but i am not sure you would get the crowds that we are enjoying these days, especially in the family stand, or for folks with kids in other stands.
Not everyone is fortunate to have that money kicking about at the start of every season, and therefore the direct debit does make watching the albion less painful..
Alternatively get an 12 month interest credit card and pay off the cost quicker............
Perhaps next season they should do away with the Direct Debit scheme and make people pay in one go, like every other football club in the country.
Is there any way of checking online if your up to date with payment and before ayone says check your bank balance i know that just wondering if you can check online via the club
I defaulted last month, but turned out it was a club error - they tried to take the money twice by mistake at the same time, then refunded both automatically. I only realised that was the case when they sent me a letter!!! I thought it was my fault to begin with!!!
Perhaps next season they should do away with the Direct Debit scheme and make people pay in one go, like every other football club in the country.
