At the risk of incurring wrath and starting a binfest, where does the blame lie?

I have seen quite a few comments which go over this fanboy’s head that somehow it’s Potter who is to blame, and a rant this morning blaming TB for being too tight fisted, which made me cringe.

So if you HAD to point a finger, where would it be pointed, or do you just roll with it?

You forgot the players themselves. Plenty of chances are being created, that's Potter's responsibility. He can't take the shots for them...

Good point but are you questioning the ability or the desire, or maybe both?

I should have added the recruitment team to the poll, any chance a mod could modify the poll to include that?

Both midfield and strikers missing 'easy' chances they should have put away. Potter has done very well with the players around him, Bloom has provided the necessary resources, so the blame sits firmly with the players.

Desire is there but it's probably a combination of ability and psychology/mindset. Many shots either went high and wide or straight at the keeper last season. Welbeck has the ability and mindset for this level.

hard to tell, is Potter telling Bloom he needs better strikers, or is Bloom not sanctioning the transfers. assuming targets are identified and available.

Other:

Strikers losing confidence
Having received the ball too slowly from midfield
Midfielders failing to contribute enough goals
Because they were often shooting through a packed defence
Because we transition too slowly
But I can't blame Potter because we're set up correctly to win games
We just need more pace (of thought and feet) and directness
And we'll have that this season with Moder established and Enoch

I voted "Other". Its a bit of everything, but mainly its the disturbed nature of modern top level football where the team that has the biggest **** as its owner usually has the most success.

As painful as it is bloom is at the top so the buck stops with him if you can’t or won’t pay what’s needed then you keep on buying from Poundland and hope you get lucky . Also the recruitment have to take a fair amount as well, who watched Locadia ? Or Aj

Either “all of the above” or “none of the above”.

We’re working on it
