One of my clients in my current work role is a Millwall STH and a lovely bloke without a racist bone in his body (and I think a puff of wind would blow him over). He certainly hates Palace though :)

The bloke he's partnered with on the project is a West Ham fan. It's a dynamic between the three of us that has resulted in a few interesting conversations :lolol:

I too am ST holder at Millwall and I think most people who know me on here know. I am one of the least racist and most left wing PC that you are ever likely to find.

However I have to concede amongst some fans the reputation is warranted. Indeed when they approached Chris for the Managers job a few years ago I was glad he didn't go there because even though it's my Club and I'm a fan I would have hated it if he was racially abused if results weren't going well.

Just interested NooBHA and for no other reason. Do you get to go to Albion matches (sort of home/away toggle) or are
you just a Brightonian who happens to have Millwall as your local team (which is fair enough)?

I started going to Brighton and supporting them when my mate became Manager. I have always been ST holder at Millwall since 1995 when I moved to London.

I stay on NSC because it's a good Forum with really interesting topics.

Oh and I was even Millwall fan as a kid. Solely because I grew up watching Motherwell and I chose Millwall as my favourite English Club simply because it sounded like Motherwell. Even before I knew where Millwall was or anything about them

That's interesting. I live not too far from the Millwall ground (Bromley area). I have to admit, I've been tempted to go
when the Albion have been away and to pop along.

I love that fry-up place in Borough Market and the boozers around London Bridge (Market Porter, Grapes etc, etc)
before a short hop on the train to Bermondsey. Just seems too easy!

My mates and I go to Old Kings Head or Thames side pub next to the Cutty Sark replica.

I don't go to all matches any more as I live in Birmingham now but I keep a ST and one of my mates uses it. I still work for a London Firm so I use my ST when I go into the office once per month if it falls on a home game

Yes, but Millwall fans were singing about Hillsborough and mocking the dead. So sick.

Liverpool fans had a right to go crazy. Imagine if it had been someone related to you or a best friend lost there?

Lucky there was a steward on hand to hold the scousers back.

When I lived in London I drank in The Rose on Snowfield coz you always got a lock in there but it's turned into a Gastro Pub now

Nice. A Millwall friend always goes to The Dog and Bell in Deptford before matches. Won London CAMRA pub of the year
I believe in the past (?) Top boozer it is. I once submitted some of my home made runner bean chutney (they have competitions).
B****s didn't even place it.

I've known and worked with several Millwall fans over the years and found the stereotyping of them 100% accurate,,,

Yes I concur They play up to it
They would be the biggest club in London if everyone that claims mongwall allegiance actually went

In the 90s I lived in Bermondsey about 1/2 mile from the Millwall ground. Back then I’d say they deserved all the stereotypes. Certain pubs you’d have to avoid on match days etc.

Well picking who you'd like to win this tie will be like trying to decide which of the STDs is your favourite.
