we just got back, not sure why there is always such surprise when there is bother, least of all on here where we've been tarred scum week in week out, no matter what happens. but there was trouble before, during and after today's game.

i purposely did not comment on any of the istanbul stuff from last saturday and i am certainly not going to do so now. kev and chris were two of my good pals and i have too much respect for the pair of them to go rounds on an internet form over it, just to say pretty much all of the trouble today revolved around istanbul, turkey shirts and flags and the usual knife slitting gestures. leeds fans are not whiter than white and i would never pretend we are, mind.

blokes have always fought. 2 up for it fans having a go.....big wow.

Just the internet warriors who are scared of their own shadows always bleet about it but it's avoidable for those types.

Football has and always will have passions which make some want to fight.

After the announcement of the Coroner's verdict of unlawful killing of Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight.............

After the verdict, the solicitor for the Loftus family, Paul Burnley, said this was the first time an English court had heard full details of what had happened that night.

He said: "Not one witness saw any besmirching of any Turkish flag or any verbal or physical abuse of any Turkish women.

"Here was an innocent bystander murdered for supporting his football team."

Well you thought it was hilarious last week that you and your 15 year old chums were singing Instanbul but come the final whistle you were all zipping up your jackets to cover the "stripes".

Arthur , for what its worth the Istanbul chant was made by about 100 blokes in their 30's and 40's. There was no need to zip up our jackets , in fact me and Russ waited near the Billy Bremner statue for 2 Leeds fans who gave us a lift. Didn't see any teenagers shitting themselves thinking they were going to be ambushed.

SoS

The fans who were singing the song about "Istanbul" should realise what the significance of the chant was.

Congratulations! That didn't stop "Russ" getting home and pointing out hilarious it was on here though did it!!?!

So therefore whether it was him who started it, joined in or stood innocently in the back row I don't really care. To take amusement in the death of two guys who did nothing more than go and watch a game a football just like you and "Russ" last week is not on in my opinion.

I thought the Albion fans today were really good, making lots of noise, although that turned hostile in the second-half with the chants of 'Instanbul, Instanbul, Istanbul', started by NSC's finest, which caused a few responses from Albion & Leeds fans. Also saw some old Albion fan being thrown out for fighting with a younger bloke, although haven't a clue what this was about.

Fans - 8 - better turn-out than was mentioned by the ticket sales and thought we were in good voice, although rather hostile. Quite a few good chants about Window Lickers :lolol:

Where exactly does he say it was 'hilarious' then?

Part of the reason I posted the link was that I am sure many of those in their 30's and 40's chanting have kids of their own.

At least last weekend they were able to go home after the game and be with them?

I never mentioned anything like it being hilarious what-so-ever, when clearly it wasn't.

I think you'll find that I said the Posh Spice song that the words had been changed I found hilarious, and so did all the people around me.

I know you're annoyed by the chant that occured because of what happened to your friend who unfortunatly lost an eye, but I never said anything like the accusations you're stating. What happened last week shouldn't have happened, but let's not all bring it up again, as this was discussed so much in detail last week.

Maybe it was not just because of that ? But because those Albion fans made complete cu@ts of themselves and us fellow fans?

Well he's hardly denouncing it is he!

"Went to the game today and my mates on an internet chat room really wound those Leeds guys up by singing about an away trip when they lost two of their own it even upset a few of our own"

Way out west
...all this and last Saturday prove is that every club has its fair share of tossers following it, most don't reveal themselves until after they have sniffed the barmaids apron and most disappear back into the woodwork just as quickly.

Remember the old saying....."you cant put an old head on young shoulders"?

Especially when you seem to be dealing with a Fu@kwit .
