What are you, a Talkradio presenter? We now live in a society that anyone with a shred of human decency is 'a Leftie' or Woke. and common sense is right wing bollocks spouted in an echo chamber.

Billionaire owned media outlet / right wing propaganda machine to influence people to vote for the interests of the wealthy, virtually every topic is to denigrate everything, resentment, hating on others and a general theme around promotion of a divided country

In the same way that you think it isn’t, obviously.

Bullshit answer because I’m not claiming to know. I don’t know it’s not equal, and I’m happy to accept the players choosing to make a protest if they believe that it isn’t equal. You’ve stated unequivocally it’s fine. It’s completely different. One is open mindedness one isn’t.

I think the reasons are those that you have already stated..but it does remind people that it’s not specific to Millwall fans ....I wonder if a more interesting poll/debate would be one that asked if it should be continued for the whole season or stopped at the end of the year and some sort of assessment done of its effectiveness

Quite interesting article here...

Like I said before, I think we are equal and I like to believe we are, but BLM isn’t about that, some people might like to pretend it is, but it isn’t, and even it is was about that it isn’t doing a goddamn thing. It looks to me to be patronising, virtue signalling nonsense.

I just glanced over your article and it didn’t suggest to me that their is systemic racism. It seemed a lot of it was to do with polls (which can be worded in certain ways) saying that some people think different races can born with different IQ’s and such. Well, statistics (there’s that word again) do seem to back that up, like you are more likely to have a higher IQ if you are Chinese.

Another bit was something about names. Well, again, studies show that you are more likely to go with what is more familiar to you, I wouldn’t say that was racist or proof of anything systemic. You are also more likely to get promoted more quickly as a tall person than a short person, these are unconscious biases that can’t be overcome. You can probably say similar about how good looking or thin a person is.
BadFish - Quoted myself by accident.

Fair enough, I tried.

If you read the article in a bit more depth, follow the links and do it properly it makes a pretty good case for their still being racism in the UK.

One thing is for sure though, it builds a far better case than the contrary one being presented on here.

Enjoy your night.

no i wouldn't boo but i think this has run its course. This was in the same week football lost ray clemence and maradona and i think it would be appropriate to pay tribute to past players as some teams have done and then move on. BLM has now been going longer than the claps for nurses and it was only stopped because THEY felt it was getting embarrassing. Lets respect the movement but we dont need to rub it in everyones faces for 6 months.

Is players dropping to their knee for 15 seconds before each match 'rubbing it in everyones faces'?

Again, how do you know it’s not doing anything? Do you basically know everything about every facet of society? Before you reply with how do I, I don’t, and not going to pretend I do.

It’s a hunch mate, I don’t think it’s doing a single thing, you can pretend it is all you like if it makes you feel better.

Yeah, I ignored it, just like any article or video I post on here is ignored I’m afraid, that’s where we are at. So, I can’t really be bothered to find things anymore such is the browbeating and bullying that comes on here with having a different opinion. Why should I bother? If I wanted to I could find you videos of black people saying that black people don’t have it any worse off than a white person in a similar position, but then you could say ‘Well, it’s just one black person’.

Like I said before, this BLM stuff isn’t going to change a thing, I think it’s making things worse, which is incredibly frustrating.

I want to know what you think ‘needs to change’?

In a long winded nutshell you’ve cleverly summed up the economic and social turmoil we are in.

Strange that they are the ones wearing the stab vests but it was some of their lot doing the stabbing to the people wanting to protect our statues.

People don't go to a sporting event to be constantly exposed to political posturing do they ????

DF

Since when has racial equality been political posturing? ??? Generally, the only people who oppose anti-racist gestures are racists. If Taking A Knee offends them/ you or makes you feel awkward, then good. We want them/ you to be offended.
