Sorry I do not believe the letter posted is genuine, call me a cynic if you wish.

I'm going with Bozza on this one and suggest you are indeed wrong and a cynic. Based not just on the letter but the fact that bozza and not Andy Naylor had both heard this prior to the letter being leaked.

You seem certain BG that our little club aren't about to spend big in this manner, what's your evidence on that

As I have said I believe that it is a red herring to protect the name of the player we are really after. It is all too conveniently exposed.

Quite the contrary, it looks to me as though this fella could have been our main target and Calleri was the smokescreen.

The club have had no part in this leak taking place.

It's not been exposed by us, we never wanted the Calleri info publicly available and I'm sure that's the case with this too.

Happy to help. Easier times when we could just negotiate with some bloke down the pub over a pint of ale

Or at a service station on the M1.

I'm still hoping for Mark Hudson from Hudds - anyone got any news on the likelihood of that one?

According to his family in Guildford he was approached but a deal wasnt done. Terms were agreed with him but why the deal fell through neither them nor my source know. Or they do but are not saying.

Shame :( Maybe we'll go back in Jan - I've heard he can play up front too?

I heard it was 10 million euro, so about 7 million quid.
Hah - you fool. You listened to some of the 'experts' on here rather than BG. 7 million quid is laughable. It is obviously €10m so about £7m

Sorry am I being thick but isnt the price being quoted as €10m being roughly £7m give or take according to the exchange rate?

The point being, you 'cleverly' corrected the correct price - albeit with punctuation errors. £7000,000,00 was obviously meant to say £7m and has the correct number of digits.

I took that as meant to be 7m and no pence. Hence the number of 0. Irrespective it is more than I would expect us to pay to get to the premier for 1 player, not when we are there but to possibly get promotion with nothing guaranteed.

So you thought he thought it was £700m? I think it is fair to assume that anyone with the ability to log onto a computer can work out what was meant.
