For some reason I love the C-5 Galaxy, kinda looks like a high wing 747

And also the AN-225, just for it's size! 6 engines and more wheels than you can shake a stick at!

The Vulcan, Spitfire, Lancaster (followed very closely by Concorde)

I'm gutted I won't be able to see the Vulcan at the Shoreham airshow this year as will be at the Charlton game.

I'm tempted to e-mail them and see if they'll fly over the Amex on the way to Shoreham

I'd like to add another to my list in the form of this awesome machine:

B-52_flying_over_clouds.jpg

Officially, of course, it's the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, but apparently crews tend to refer to it as the BUFF (Big Ugly Fat ****er). First introduced into service in 1955, current projections state that variants of it will be in service until at least the 2040's....incredible to think that one basic design could be in use for over 85 years and still be viable.

Is the Vulcan not going to be there on the Sunday?

Edit, just checked and it appears not

For those interested, there was a piece about the Lancs and the Vulcan on the ITV Evening News - presumably it will be repeated on their nightly news at 10pm or whenever.

Cheers, I wasn't aware of that.

Buccaneers and Victors sound well worth a watch.
