Cracking snaps. I keep forgetting to get my phone out when these have lumbered over my house. Been quite unusual to see so many foreign birds recently - I’ve noted US, Canadian, German and I think Dutch variants in the last month.

If I see a Chinese or Russian then I’m offski

Cheers, these were US C17s for Bidens visit, snaps are actually screenshot from a YouTube video.

Made my third visit to Duxford today. Not an air show day but B17 and Spitfire flying plus numerous other vintage aircraft, well worth a visit. Also recommend paying a bit more for the Lancaster bomber talk and going inside the plane [emoji106]

Stunning. When Air travel was exotic . . . . I love the old BOAC posters and adverts.

Comet was first aircraft I ever flew in, some long forgotten charter mob in August 1971 to Ibiza.

First johnny foreigner holiday; I mostly remember the onboard food was crap and that when we got off it was like someone had wrapped a hot wet towel around your face.

Got horrendously sunburned first day (as in massive blisters on my arms lanced PM by a Spanish Doctor) and spent the rest of the fortnight inside the Hotel watching the lizards climb the walls. Not the best Holiday I have ever had...

What an amazing company Saab were, producing jet fighters, and family saloon cars . . . until quite recently too.

It would have been Dan Air, they were the last airline to operate the Comet, finally retiring them in the late 1970's. early 1980's.

I flew to Spain on a Dan Air Comet in about 1973. Terrible flight, spent two hours hurling.

Yes the Saab 900 must have been the weight of a tank.

I had a 900 and two 9000s. Yes they were solidly built but all were a terrific drive with bags of power.

It looked glamourous . . . . Driving has always been the preferred gentlemans conveyance, in Europe at least

Great cars. Turbo lag?
