Cracking snaps. I keep forgetting to get my phone out when these have lumbered over my house. Been quite unusual to see so many foreign birds recently - I’ve noted US, Canadian, German and I think Dutch variants in the last month.
If I see a Chinese or Russian then I’m offski
Stunning. When Air travel was exotic . . . . I love the old BOAC posters and adverts.
The Swedish ones:

What an amazing company Saab were, producing jet fighters, and family saloon cars . . . until quite recently too.
Comet was first aircraft I ever flew in, some long forgotten charter mob in August 1971 to Ibiza.
First johnny foreigner holiday; I mostly remember the onboard food was crap and that when we got off it was like someone had wrapped a hot wet towel around your face.
Got horrendously sunburned first day (as in massive blisters on my arms lanced PM by a Spanish Doctor) and spent the rest of the fortnight inside the Hotel watching the lizards climb the walls. Not the best Holiday I have ever had...
Whats always amazed me about Saab is if their planes were similarly weighted to their cars, they'd never get off the ground!

Yes the Saab 900 must have been the weight of a tank.
I flew to Spain on a Dan Air Comet in about 1973. Terrible flight, spent two hours hurling.
It looked glamourous . . . . Driving has always been the preferred gentlemans conveyance, in Europe at least
I had a 900 and two 9000s. Yes they were solidly built but all were a terrific drive with bags of power.
Great cars. Turbo lag?
