Unacceptable pitch conditions may be the same for both sides, but incredibly frustrating as it limits Sussex’s chances of any batting bonus points.

Afternoon from lords .
Sussex batters tried to dig in but some of them rather gave their wickets away .
Big couple of sessions coming up

What a splendid way to spend a late August day.

Yep , have the day off and thought why not . A fair few Sussex here .
Pretty flat this afternoon though . Archer the only one looking a threat

Will Middlesex be declaring soon or is it going to be another case of the ridiculously over-cautious captaincy we see nowadays?

Here
Not a good day yesterday. I was there and leaving aside the arrogance, loudness and general undesirability of some of the Middlesex supporters within my proximity, Sussex basically lost every session. The famed lower order got flamed in the first session, our hyped and supposedly terrifying bowling attack failed to terrify, extras continued to mount (39 in the first innings out of a total scored by Middlesex of 169 ffs!! - 26 so far in the second innings), the pitch seemed to get discernibly better when Middlesex batted on it for a second time and we made Malan look like a Test player (which he clearly isn't). All in all a bad day at the office.

have they declared?
Don't think so Loco.

The Radio London bloke thinks we are still winning. Bowl them out for around 270 this morning (new ball due) and then knock off the runs...

Hope he's right.
