No you are miles wrong the implication is some of our fans would do the same thing not me or my son.

I realise you have a desire to try and have a go at me at every opportunity, like the sly dig about travelling to the game but you are wrong it is not something I would ever do neither would my son.

Just refer to the total **** who allegedly assaulted some kid at Haywards Heath last night as he had a CPFC shirt, every club has its idiots.

I walked around the back of their main stand afterwards, with several others in colours, and we were roundly applauded. All clubs have their idiots. I find most Boro fans good, honest, genuine fans, and were great hosts on Saturday. I wish them the very best next season. What does however need looking at was the pitch invasion prior to the final whistle, which clearly influenced the ref to blow the final whistle when he did.

You had a completely different experience to me. I would hate to think what they'd have been like if we'd won.

Eight minutes extra were up. No complaints there. Not sure what your point is.

The fans ran on the pitch before the whistle went. The referee also made sure he was near the tunnel when he blew it, so he could run.

Obviously it didn't happen, but with the fans gathering on the advertising hoardings, I did wonder what would happen if a Brighton player broke, rounded the keeper and hit the ball into the open goal, only for a fan to run on and stop it going in.

The ref can't give the goal, because the ball didn't go in, and he's not allowed to assume it would have no matter how obvious it is.
He can't give a penalty because no one in the Middlesbrough team committed an offence.
As best I can work out it would be a drop ball on the edge of the 18 yard box in line with the incident. Boro packing the box and block the shot.

The sporting thing would be for Boro to let us score a goal unopposed, but I don't think many people would expect them to actually do that.

We would have been screwed out of automatic promotion by a cheating fan. Would the FA deduct them points - we all know how loathe to act on promotion/relegation issues they are (they seemingly waited until the points deduction on Rotherham wouldn't affect things last season)? Would they still be able to take part in the play offs? Would making them go through the play offs really be punishment, since that's what would have happened without the cheating anyway?

That reads like an episode from Danger Mouse, especially with all those questions at the end

Can't wait to tune in on Saturday to see what happened in the next episode.

Chatting to some 40-50 something year olds at the station and they hate the younger fans as they just want to cause trouble. They also would love our manager as they don't like their own one.

I've just heard things were pretty bad for those Albion fans who had to return to their coach parked outside the Holiday Inn Express yesterday too. We had to walk through the mob that was growing there and I did wonder what it would be like when those needing to use that coach made it back.

I'll add finally that in these situations, you will often see more right-minded individuals telling their mates to stop and do the right thing. No sign of this in Boro.

Whatever anyone says about Derby, their pitch invasion after the play off was good humoured. Boro's fans on the pitch ( not their fans generally ) all behaved like scumbags.

No i wasn't there but have seen that type of thing a few times. Port Vale at the Goldstone is another time. Luton knocking us out of the JPT etc.

The Luton one was comically sad. We were applauding them as felt the poor buggers deserved a trip to Wembley given the massive points deduction they'd had put on them again meaning guaranteed relegation before the season had started. Yet all some of their fans wanted to do was stand in front of our end and give it large

Which actually means our fans not my younger son so how on earth can you now interpret he would have larged it at the Amex if the roles were reversed bearing in mind we are WSU and would not even be able to invade the pitch, just to clarify one of you cohorts called him a prick when when he was 15 so do carry on with this personal attack.

The additional time was not up when the rush of Boro fans started. You would have seen Mike Dean move quickly to the touch line by the players tunnel with the fans on the pitch and then blew his whistle to indicate the end of the game. In games with more enlightened refs they have indicate to the players that time os up, so that they can move towards the tunnel before the game is over so that they are able to exit the pitch safely when the expected pitch invasion takes place.

They came in Friday night and stayed in the hotel as part of a package. The hotel bar was rocking with an Albion sing-song late into the night.

It does seem strange, although perhaps only with hindsight, that the coach wasn't moved to the ground during the game so it was ready with the others.
