Microsoft Word

Is there anyway that I can 'turn off' the bit of Microsoft Word which persists in trying to predict what I want to do with it, tabbing numbered points for example. It is really annoying me today and would save time if I could turn it off and it would just do, explicitly, what I tell it to instead of trying to second guess me all the time.

Go into Tool, options, I think you can turn most things off by unticking boxes as applicable

This can also be turned off in options.

unfortunately, none of the tick boxes in options relate to my particular problem so I will just have to put up with it.

easiest way is to right click and hide when prompted...simple once you know how

Do you press F1? Thats the help button and quess who is there to help you ?

It's an office where the desks are in an open plan configuration don't have walls inbetween them.

What's open office

An office suite that contains all the elements that Microsoft Office has... Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Presentation software etc.

Big difference is that it's Open Source (and free) but has similar (if not better) functionality to Microsoft Office. In fact I think it's better... more reliable, things work as you'd expect, and it's not as bloated.
