Micky Adams should thank Russell Slade

In the back of my mind is the thought that Russell Slade saved Micky's reputation and that we don't have to blame Adams for relegation - I know his second tenure was a dismal failure but I will never forget consecutive promotions and Bobby Z and MA was my favourite Albion manager of all time

Mr Slade was obviously very, very lucky. He inherited a team and squad from Mr Adams that was just biding its time, waiting to give us an exciting end of season.Unfortunately it appears that something he'd eaten at a dodgy wayside cafe caused Mr Adams to have to relinquish his post,et voila,a star is born.

Micky Adams was a complete and utter waste of space second time round. We are well rid of him.

I consider Adams now to be a complete Albion zero. Arrogant fucker thinking he could walk back in where he left off. Zamora was the only reason that side were so good the rest and the boss were average joes in my book.

Has Micky ever come out and said what wrong? We never seem to hear from former managers

Utter bollocks.

Adams will, and should, be remembered for the glory days the first time around. To say he's a zero just because he made an arse of it this time is ridiculous. He was as much a part of that success as Zamora or anyone else, and should be respected as such.

Slade succeeded by getting the players to believe in them selves, note Fraser's radio interview and his intimated view of Mickey, and then playing the same players in their best positions eg Virgo as a central defender.

The second coming of Micky Adams was a joke. He looked a shadow of his former self, and was UTTERLY clueless in all departments.
