I would wish him good luck and hope that he does well but not too well at Falmer next season.

I don't think they'll be playing at Falmer next year. Unless we draw them in the cup. Without some serious investment (Which I don't think they have) we'll be swapping places next year.

He was never going to stay at Vale. No loyalty.

In all fairness he is a Sheffield United fan. He could of stuck it out and got a job in a higher league before Vale offered him the job but credit to him he wanted to get back into management. Port Vale have literally no money whatsoever so he has done a brilliant job.

He should've stayed at Port Vale and continued his good work there.

Jumping ship to a job that probably won't work out and he'll be back on the managerial merry-go-round again soon.

Not good enough at Championship level is my prediction. He'd be a mug not to take the job, Sheffield Utd are mugs for giving it to him..imo

Best Wishes to Micky , lets hope he doesn't f*** it up by bringing the dynamic duo back together.

Everyone saying he's a mug for taking the job should remember Sheffield United are his team.

Don't think anyone is calling him a mug to be fair. Reports I've read says he will quadruple his salary. The only people that are the mugs are the SU board for giving him the job in the first place.

If I was managing Lewes reasonably well, even though I was unlikely to go much higher, and the Albion offered me the chance to replace Gus I would HAVE to take it. It's the same for him.

What a thoroughly EXCELLENT analogy. I'd be surprised if you haven't instructed your agent to sound out Liverpool about their up & coming vacancy.

Doug Loft/Tommy Fraser/Craig Davies - Sheffield Utd - Championship !!!????..........not things I thought I would ever see in proximity but given Adams' track record with old players. Adam Virgo must be a nailed on certainty

if rotherham get promoted and sheffield wednesday dont, could be looking at a three-way sheffield derby in league one next season
