For all you knockers and critics of M A, You can make your apologies on this thread, I suspect that not many, if none of you have the guts or courage to do so. This team were brought back from the dead, and the blood and guts they all showed last night reflects their regard and respect that they have for him, unlike you lot. So come on and make your apologies public, or keep your opinions to yourseves.

Why should people apoligise for having a go at him? Especially after Saturday against Walsall? Yes last night was quality but maybe he should sort it out for the games we are meant to win? And just to let you all know I am NOT an Adams critic just think this thread it stupid.

Why should anybody appologise? Up until last night Micky had'nt exactly covered himself in glory since he came back and it still waits to be seen if he can use last night as a springboard to better things? Or whether he goes back to strange team selections and poor home performances again?

Presumbaly if we'd have got tonked last night, Adams would have been getting all sorts of grief - especially for fielding the usual whipping boys Loft and Fraser. As it was, he got the tactics spot on .. not just at the start, but throughout the game. For all the Wilkins lovers, how bloody long would those decisions have taken? How many times would the ridiculous whiteboard have been out of the dugout, with all its little counters being pushed around?

Maybe it's about time some of the critics to shut up and accept that we're lucky to have a manager of Adams' quality... even if, like any club, we can't win every game.

Anyone who criticised MA's ability to change the game plan against Walsall on Saturday was thoroughly justified. I certainly ain't ashamed of the criticism I made and will be making no such apologies. I've sat through 4 dire home league performances this season ( ironically we probably had our best spell of football against Scunthorpe ) and even MA has held his hands up in his post match interviews. I've never called for MA's head and have joined the, "it's only September" brigade when the nonsense talk starts on here.

I'm also not ashamed to praise the team for an outstanding show of passion last night. Everything was brilliant about last night. Now all we need is for all the fans there last night to come out and show their appreciate and give us a decent gate for the bread and butter of Cheltenham next week.

I have never been a critic of Mickey.

But you must admit he does seem a different guy since the first time around it was more "we will win" rather than "we hope to win" maybe the gaffer may get some of his old confidence back after last night and manage to spread that belief to the rest of the team for the rest of the season.

What ever happens Dick was still wrong to sack Wilkins IMO.

What a load of tripe. Is this Brighton and Hove Albion or communist Russia?

I've posted elsewhere that MA got it absolutely spot on last night, but he's been somewhat inept in the past three home games. I sincerely hope he continues to get it right, but last night does not erase the shambles that was Walsall and Scunthorpe from my memory.

"This team was brought back from the dead" - how melodramatic. Besides, it ws MA's tactics and team selection that put us in that position in the first place. Nice try Stalin.

I wouldn't call myself a critic of Adams, but I certainly was worried after Saturday. However he proved last night that he has the tactical acumen that he failed to deliver on Saturday.

The starting line up was perfect, solid and balanced, and the substituions were right on the mark at the right time. Even loved the fact that he brought on a teenage scholar to try and beat the richest club in the world. Legend.

We've had a good result!! It hardly makes us Barcelona all of a sudden.

f*** no, we're bigger than that:thumbsup:

 Indeed, until Saturday we are the biggest team in the world! Was great having an early start this morning, from 3 o clock all the talk on the R1sports news was of the Albion, then a good long chat about us on Chris Moyles.

Anyway Langley, 'keeping your opinions to yourself' wouldn't make NSC the most entertaining of reads.

I feel Micky got it his team selection 100% spot on yesterday. However, I once again bring up the point that when teams sit back we have no answer to it.

This wasn't a typical game at home in the league.

I would like to say how well Thomson played as i am constantly knocking him. But why doesn't he do it more, I get angry at the lack of times he gets forward, has a crack on goal and makes runs into the box. If only he could play like that more, he could be the answer...

Because he has not previously been given the licence to do so.

I take it you never saw that clueless garbage on Saturday then?

I don't agree. In so many games Thomson has had great chances on goal and he instead plumps for a cross. He has always looked like a player with no confidence in front of goal hence his goalscoring record is dire.

Yesterday though was completely different. I think it was more of a case that he felt he had to support Murray. Not the fact that he wasn't given the freedom to do so before.

Should we stick to the 4-5-1 ?
