haha! Micky Adam's football coach at my old school! Can't believe it! if only i was still there, it would be quality to play for him! Simon Rodger Coached there for a while (4th team, and was apperently shite)!!

Best of luck to Micky though, hope he can move on and get back into the professional game.

Like a number of our recent managers Micky Adams was handicapped by the lack of cash provided for team building,Knight seems to think that a good manager can be successful by signing the cheap end of the market, players carrying long term injuries and of course short term loans.
We again have a promising manager but he will still have the bame handicap

This surely has to be a wind-up. Adams signed many new players who were nsupposedly on high wages (people like Virgo and McLeod don't come cheap - even if one of them is a bit of a fatty). I would venture to say Adams had far more financial backing than any other manager for a long time.

Livermore wouldn't have been cheap either.

Let it be, guys, he's got a mortgage like anyone else, why shouldn't he take a job?

He was brilliant for us first time around, second time things didn't work out, but we stayed up, so get over it and move on.

No need to be abusive towards the bloke forever is there, it's not like he didn't care.
True, it just makes it more bizarre that we offered the manager's job to someone who was unemployed having been 'resigned' from his previous, junior, post and now appears to have turned his back on professional football management.

It's a funny old game football. Anyway, good luck to him. Hopefully lessons have been learned blah blah blah and we can all move on.

That has made my morning!

Do you think he'll throw a hissy fit when he gets overlooked for the head year role??

Er, probably before you were even born. Left in 1983 !!!!!!!!

ha! fair enough! thought there was another Brighton fan in the school i did'nt know about, everyone seemed to be either Man Utd or Chelsea! you left 6 years before i was born, so we its safe to say we did not cross each others path in our time at Ardingly!

All the best. :albion2:

the lack of respect for the guy on this thread is pretty shameful. The above post being the worst of it

He actually gives a shit about this club, maybe more than some of the fans, he certainly turned up for the Falmer marches even though he was managing another team. I really don't believe it, it's not as if he wanted us to go down :censored:

When Micky first came to the club, did he not do the deal that got Albion training up at Ardingly colledge, I am sure it better paid and far less hassle than non league clubs pay around here he will be a great inspiration to the youngsters and perhaps get some new talent signed up into our acadamy system.

Yeah, gave so much of a shit that he jumped ship at the first possible opportunity after having moaned about not being considered for other roles.

I'm sure he didn't want us to go down, he was trying to rebuild his managerial career. He f***ed it up now he is on the scrap heap.

Can't fault the guy for looking out for number one, but to say he love(s)(d) the club is complete poppycock.
