I will be amazed if he gets a managerial job above League 2 and quite suprised if he gets one in League 2

His career stats do not make for pretty reading. I doubt he will manage above League 2 again. Sad really, but he only has himself to blame.

assistant manager at Lewes?

Seems a bit harsh

seriously......I would expect him to be in some demand as a scout in the short term ahead of clubs reviewing their suads in the summer

Does anyone else wonder how people in MA's position survive financially? Playing's a precarious enough job, but being a manager, you never know how long you're going to be in work for (unless you're Alex Ferguson, Mourhino etc. in which case you've earned enough from a couple of season's work never to have to work again) and with lower league managers not earning megabucks it must be a nightmare if you get the sack and face little prospect of ever getting a reasonable-paying job in football again, if at all.

you would imagine the rewards must outweigh the risks but when you factor in the abuse and the pressure of being at the sharp end of a "results lead industry" you do wonder if it's worth it.

They must be guided to put money aside (unlike most of us who live to our income) and he is reputed to have told his players at Coventry that he is a millionaire but still.....

That would not suprise me, I would imagine he was on excellent money at Leicester and didn't he get sacked at Coventry with a while left on his contract? I doubt that we got off lightly this time around either.

micky adams on his first day at Coventry turned round to all the players and said I am a millionare and richer than all of you...

what a twat.the kind of thing one expects from that northern git

Micky may have failed second time around and i wanted him out because results had been poor but you simply cant forget what he did for the club. he is an albion supporter and a top bloke and i would rather that it had wotked out for him. Just because he failed doesnt mean you have to be anti-northern and hurtful towards him.

I can only see him getting an assistant managers roll at league one or above really and i think he realistically will only manage at league 2 standard. but i wish him the best and hope he is successful in the future.

you miss my point.any manager who says to his players that he is richer than all of them obviously has a massive inferiority complex.sorry if i hurt your feelings.hope you are not a northerner for your own sake.rather backward up there i understand

OH great another new user that is a complete and utter twat. you've got a football team with 3 or 4 northener's in it and you support them every week, well i think you do although you seem to have a complete lack of understanding about the human issues of football and the game in general.

You also fail to understand that micky was and is a brighton legend. I hate using that word but thats what he is, okay he messed it up second time around but still there is no need to comment on where he is from and insult him because of this. we dont even know for sure that he made this statement.

well i guess like other northerners, these 3 or 4 have come down here to try and better them selves(do you blame them!!!!)if it's so wonderful up there why don't they stay?.John Byrne and Sir Norman Gall are nearly cured!!
I agree Adams had great sucess at BHA first time after he was directed in the direction of Zamora, who i hasten to add is a SOUTHERNER,but with out Zamora's goals BHA would not have got up to the Championship!!He tried to sign a couple of other strikers before Zamora. Also,it is not the first time I have heard the story about him telling the Covertry players that he was richer than them
i look forward to hearing your reply and I expect that you will accuse me of being regonalist!!HEAL THE GREAT UNWASHED is what i say
