Right here, right now
Sad news. Great memories of him, Jackie Pallow, Big Daddy, Haystacks, Kendo Nagasaki et al.

Those were the days when I thought the bouts were real, not staged!

Remember watching him with my grandad on Saturday afternoons while waiting for final score. Famous for the Boston Crab! Once saw him at the Brighton Dome too

RIP

My dad was a huge wrestling fan and we always watched it on World of Sport on a Saturday. Mick McManus was one of the "villains", but always a likeable rogue.

I also thought the bouts were real in those days, too. I've no idea if my dad realised it was just entertainment, but I imagine he did.

We visited Mick's pub in Northampton one time when we played there (it's not far from Sixfields), and I was disappointed not to see him.

They don't do entertainment like that any more, do they...

Stood next to him in the Plough at Pyecombe and he was a lot smaller than he looked on tv. Was it him related to Reg Gutteridge or was that Jackie Pallow?

Ask him ref , ask him !

:) And the sly dig to the ribs on the refs blindside , then showing the ref your palm when the crowd went wild .
