Worth a punt?

Just reading that he is not likely to play for Swansea again and has had an injury plagued season on loan to Napoli who are unlikely to exercise their option to buy.

He is 29 and cost Swansea £2m so may not be out of our price range (salary may be an issue obviously).

Swansea's chairman reckons he is on his way to full fitness.

We do excel in taking on injury prone Swansea players and we haven't got too many sick notes at the moment, bring it on

Now you've done it! Expect Forest to express and interest by tea time. Would be pleased to get him though.

So if Swansea and Napoli aren't interested then where is Michu's level? Evidently, neither of those clubs are willing to take the risk with his fitness and / or are unsure he can score goals at the top level.

To me this is the sort of signing Bournemouth or Watford should be trying to make - low transfer fee, wages covered by Prem TV money / parachute payments, short-term contract i.e 2-year deal. A bit of a gamble - chances are it won't work out but if he could bag 10-12 goals it could mean Prem survival.

I would assume Forest have already tabled a bid, they don't have anywhere near enough strikers yet......

Despite FFP being toothless, Forest are still forbidden from paying any new signing over 10K per week.

Injury plagued Vicente had played 38 times for Spain when he joined us at age 29. Michu, same age, has played once.

Just saying.
