Still a bad decision to pass in anybodies language.
...in hindsight.

If Smith hadn't been there he'd have shot, but at the time, he chose to square it to someone with an even better angle.

In a strange kinda selfish way, I'm glad Smith missed. I didn't get to the first match despite having a ticket, but went to the replay. If he'd scored I'd probably never have seen Brighton in the Cup Final at Wembley.

MR was the best striker I saw for the Albion but I never saw Wardy until he came back when his knee's where shot. But on TV footage I would say Wardy was the best.

I wonder if he's going to play in the veterans match at Kerry Mayo's testimonial?

He should have shot.He didn't.He has caused Gordon Smith to be damned for the "miss" (save, actually). For ever.

Not sure if he was a chicken or a turkey at that point.

And,of course,Smith DID score.

And MR did not.

It just makes me frustrated to even think we had forwards of the calibre of Robinson and Smith (both were great, regardless of the end of that Cup Final) when at the moment we can't score for toffee at home. As for Wardy I can still feel the buzz we got at the moment he'd collect the ball on the halfway line and you just know he was going to weave his way through the opposition's half and beat several players before slotting the ball in the back of the net. I'm 57. Will I ever see such days again?

I know what you mean. BZ came close in that I thought he was going to score every time he got the ball. With Wardy, I expected him to score every time.
