Owen would be laughing his TITS off, if he pulls that off. He must have the best agent in the world.

I thought he'd be lucky to go to Hull.

I still think he'd be a good signing for any of the top four.

He's still class IMO.

Its probably a pay as you play deal for whoever he joins...

I still think that too

Man U - they dont have an out an out striker, loads of strikers that drop deep
Chelsea - dont think he will fit in their style of hump it tactics
Liverpool - never go back, but....
Arsenal - he would get loads of tap ins as they walk the ball in the net

Newcastle have been a f***ing shambles for the last two years and he was unlucky with injuries again last season. He still scored ten league goals. If he can get fit and have a run in a side he'll be scoring buckets again.

I thought Teddy Sheringham was a strange signing when they signed him but they got their moneys worth out of him. Could be a similar signing.

Useful to have on the bench and good squad player. I'm sure he'd agree to pay to play at Man U rather than 60K a week at Hull. Unless he's having a bad run on the gee-gees.

The other plus point is if he goes to a top 4 side & stays fit & rediscovers his form, with the world cup coming up ................................

I'm not sure form's important, I think having a man u shirt would make him an automatic pick for england. That's the only way to explain wes brown...

SPOT ON, and on a free you cant go wrong i wouldnt think.
Probably get him for 50k a week which these days is pennies, they would make the money back in no time.
