One of the BBC reporters, I can't remember which, said last night on Twitter that it was £12m upfront with another £5m to follow, depending on appearances etc.

Oh. Well it must be true then. I guess the boys in Manchester are a little late with their update...

England international Jack Rodwell signs for Manchester City from Everton - Manchester City FC

Seriously though, this is a good move for Everton. For Rodwell, a good financial move, not so much professionally. Unfortunately I think he could end up like Adam Johnson.

BBC Sport - Jack Rodwell joins Manchester City from Everton for £12m

It seems to be on every other football-related site that the fee is £12m plus add-ons. It seems to be the norm in these situations that both the buying and selling club don't disclose the fee, but it then gets aired everywhere else!

It is obvious you mugs.

He will play for Everton and Us but only home games (for both) because he has to groom the GG. If we draw Everton in the cup then he will play 1st half for the away team and 2nd half for the home team.

I can't believe everyone else has missed this.

To prove this he has just walked past my house with an Everton cap on and an Albion training bag.

Thanks, I was joking though. The eventual fee always gets out regardless. Nice to see Mancini has already said he isn't good enough to play at this level...

Now that's a ringing endorsement from your new boss! I can't see RM hanging around much longer. First he criticises the lack of transfer activity and then, when they sign someone, he says the player isn't good enough.

I did paraphrase, slightly. The full quote goes on to say that Jack needs a lot of work and could be a good player. Just he isn't good enough now. He has just signed a 5-year contract too, would be interesting if they did sack him.
