Here, there and everywhere
From the BBC website

Bit of a "please will someone show an interest in me?" article here.

Reading between the lines .. no Premier league clubs have shown any interest apart from Stoke, and Owen is now getting desperate.

I love this line: "Although he has not retired from England duty, he last played for his country in March 2008 against Chile"

:lolol:

If a Prem team really wanted him they could have wrapped up the deal weeks ago.

Good. I hope the egotistical twat rots now after his comments about the Championship and others that have dropped to that level to play.

I always used to admire his personality - kept himself to himself and was kind and thoughtful wherever he went. If what you say is true, it shows that age doesn't necessarily bring wisdom.

Any team with Heskey and Owen up front could be formidable opposition. The two played so well with England, shame they've lost form since...well, since quite a while let's say.

"I know I can still bang them in at the top level. I proved that nearly every time I played for Manchester United."

The worst strike rate at Man U out of any club in his career, didn't even score in every 3 games for a top club. Hardly 'nearly' every time he played :lolol:

I only remember him playing in that game against City when he came on and scored the winner.

I actually thought he'd retired a year ago.

Why doesn't he just retire ? It's obvious, same with Hargreaves, that his body just can't take top class football anymore and no team will take a chance on him

They could still play but they'd have to be willing to play for playing's sake. Pay per game sort of contract.

The bloke was class in his day and deserves more respect than he's getting here on this thread. It's not his fault he's been injury-plagued because he was playing non-stop from 17 when his body was still growing.

Really? Can I just offer up a few players who you hate less?

Ashley Cole, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Joey Barton, Roy Keane, Henry Hughton, Carl Griffiths, Scott McGleish, Luis Suarez, Wayne "cant be arsed for England" Rooney, and CRISTIANO RONALDO!
