Generally I hope that things are banned now, because they're bad for you health. If there was something that was proved to help performance and not be bad for you, we should all take one a day - hurray for progress. But we don't want the athletes we look up to taking unhealthy steroids and encouraging the rest of us to do the same.Wells though, you definitely do not want to be putting on any pedestal. Even the fully 'clean' sprinters from that era, were legally taking stuff then, that would be banned now.
