Blah blah f***ing blah. I love Gus but this is so so tedious. With all these constant threads you could almost forget
how close we are to making it in to the playoffs. We should all be concentrating on the task at hand,, which is three points at home tomorrow.

Right. How does the "we should all be concentrating" thing work again?

The constant touting is getting annoying now, though admittedly it is the journos asking him the questions and because he is too honest - he answers them !!

Chelsea will go for the Juventus manager - not for one managing a Championship club who hasn't won a major trophy.

He needs to concentrate on the task in hand, getting us into the prem, every distraction will effect our push, vis Harry redknapp and England and the plumet in form of Spurs subsequent to that. What do his players think about this no matter how professional any of them are. I also think it very unprofessional for him airing his views on this so publicly and so often.

Too true, its actually really starting to get on my nerves. He's unashamedly touting himself for the Chelsea job any opportunity he gets. Getting a bit ridiculous now

Guys I know you all love me here, and want me to succeed, but if there's a chance, and an offer becomes available:-

I would leave to manage Salma Hayek's underwear draw.

This Chelsea talk is also getting on my bloody nerves as well. I know he keeps getting asked the question, but If he wants that job so badly, I want Rafa to get sacked as soon as possible so Chelsea can hurry up and appoint their next manager. Feel this is not going to do us any favours apart from throwing a big spanner in the works.

What sort of supporters have rafa out banners anyway. It just shows you what a joke football has become, and it just shows you the type of supporters they attract. The club is hardly in downfall

You know I like the honesty of gus, but it does piss me off when he goes on about fing chelsea. Bloody reporters should stop asking the question.

Agree on the honesty, I find it refreshing. It's just a shame it had to be Chelsea who were his first club in England.

Also agree on the reporters thing. People on here talking as if Gus goes around wearing his Chelsea kit holding a big 'Come and get me Roman' sign. He just keeps getting asked about it by reporters.

He's asked about it by journalists.

He will end up there one day. It will be a disaster for all concerned.

Not for his bank balance. He will be on £3m a year basic, and if he signs a three year contract and they sack him after six months they will pay it up in full.

Would be a fool to turn it down.

I can't imagine two more different chairmen than TB and RA, could Gus work with the alleged interference and the abuse of the crowd when things don't go we'll? He should be careful what he wishes for, unless it is money motivated.

I imagine though that the only way Gus is gonna get the Chelsea job in the near future would be to get us auto promoted this season. Not sure which is the most unlikely.

I assume her underwear drew with us as we are the division's draw specialists?

I don't go round shouting to my staff and my line manager constantly about a job I've got my eye on, that would be unprofessional. Obviously everyone wants to better themselves but this ain't the way.... Air of desperation all over it!!

Here
Talk is all it is - Gus gets asked the question, he answers - simple. The reality is that Gus would be a massive risk for Chelsea, he's got no managerial experience (let alone a good track record) of managing in the premiership or in European competition, he has a cockiness that Abramovich would find hard to take for much longer than a season and to date has only succeeded in getting a team promoted from League 1. Gus may have a strong bond with Chelsea but Abramovich doesn't have a strong bond with Gus. This won't happen, if at all, until Gus has delivered a good Premier league standing and possibly an exciting but unsuccessful first foray into Europe with us and if/when it does happen he'll be lucky to last a year there.
