Messanger Failing - Gateway - Help Needed Please

Won't sign me into WLM at the minute. Was working perfectly fine for me earlier on.

I click on troubleshoot and it tells me that 'my gateway appears to be offline'. What does this mean ?

I clicked on the repair thing but it did bugger all and still doesn't work.

Sorry if it's easy to fix or anything but I'm a bit retarded when it comes to all this.

I've tried it a couple of times and still doesn't work. I even restarted my PC but that didn't make any difference.

Oh, I'll leave it tonight and try again tomorrow morning before I leave for Belle Vue.

It seems to be working alright now, was failing once again this morning though.
