My Sister just sent me a photo of my nephew and niece getting super Christmas excited about SKY's Santa tracker.

It's a map with various dots indicating where he's going.

They are generally spread out but there is a big cluster around UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Which I found mildly amusing.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all🥳

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Much like many so called Christians. I've always said be full no holds barred christian or admit that you are not really christian. So many are half-way religious.
But do you believe?

We love Christmas in the UAE.

Huge Christmas trees in the malls and hotel foyers beautifully decorated, festive activities, etc.

A pluralistic society, most Western companies will frequently give their staff Christmas Day off in addition to the Eids and other days.

Happy Holidays Shirley?

Doing to have them PC Police after you now to f*** up your holidays (not Christmas....)
This whole "You can't say [insert thing that you supposedly] anymore" is such a load of old bollocks. What it IS, is fragile people who either can't cope with change, or who have a sepia-tinted view of what the world used to be like, feeling so threatened about life that they've imagined that they are being deprived the ability to do and say what they like. The poor little (normally) white, middle-aged snowflakes.

And other people fall for it hook, line and sinker, so the bullshit spreads! Project fear, I guess...

Very Trumpian! That says it all. You support a dictator who wants to destroy the Constitution and become a dictator for life. All laws towards the dictator will not be enforced.

Sorry I was a bit of a misery in my previous post.

I wish all NSCers a Happy Christmas.

Just taken my Codeine so it is (slowly) off to bed.

It's lovely. Well I like it anyway. :)

There's always been a commercialism around Christmas. Some of it is cheery, festive, generous and jovial. Some of it is crass.

Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here. And especially not on Christmas Eve. :)

You too Mike - on the beach with a barbie? (Not the blond kind I hasten to add 😎)
Going to youngest daughter's place, 6 floors up, in Perth.
Should be a nice breeze up there on the large balcony.
38 degrees in the hills now, but should be about 30 up there.
I am currently cooking turkey, ham and Indian roast lamb in my bbq oven to take with us, as well as veggies etc.
We will be the Christmas menulog for the family today, who will all turn up at about 4ish.
