Didn't realise Inesta and Thiago are playing in the J League.

Transfermarket valuation is less than £1.7m. Peanuts in the football world (but probably BS as per usual).

He doesn't qualify for a work permit so he will - as with Percy Tau - be with USG for a season or potentially til January.

Didn't appreciate that Japan are ranked 28 in the world, so once he gets a few caps under his belt then he'll qualify.

In Japan's Olympic football team too so might get a chance to see him 'live'.

Seems that this will likely be announced after Olympics are done if true.

Our xG is going to be staggeringly high next year. I almost hope we don't sign a striker.

I've always found this the oddest of phrases, who the hell would put their cap under their belt? Irrespective of the fact that the FA don't dish out caps anymore anyway.

They do still dish them out

In fact everyone now also gets a ‘legacy’ cap on their first appearance which has their own number much like the England cricket team have legacy numbers under the crest on their shirts.
