That was 22-23 Mitoma. Back at the level where you worry if we can hold onto him.

Back to his absolute best yesterday. What a player when he’s on form like that.

Looks a £70m player again, absolutely tore them apart time and again. Looked up for it too, compared to his usually quite passive nature

He was a constant threat to the spuds defence throughout the whole game (he scared them shitless), and his help in defence was also invaluable - a really top performance and certainly MOM 👍👍

I notice on the player ratings feature on BBC Sport, Minteh won it by some distance. I’m wondering if this is the fan boy situation we had with Percy Tau having an impact…

As amazing as Mitoma was against Spurs, he was that bad on Saturday. Wasted so many good attacking opportunities for us, especially in the first half. Was right in front of me and I couldn’t believe how bad his decision making was sometimes. I thought he would come off earlier as he looked off it.

He’s a great player and time and time again our difference maker but like a lot of wingers, he is very inconsistent - sublime to nothing. I just wonder if that real inconsistency and his age now will mean the big clubs will not pay what we would demand and he’s one of those players we actually keep long term.

Mitoma is not world class. He's got some world class attributes - but there are times he should score and better players would, and he doesn't.

He's an Albion legend - a cult hero. We're a better side with him in the first XI every time, if only for the unpredictable threat that he always has, even when he's not in top form.

In some ways, we're lucky that he's not world class, as he'd have been gone a long time ago. Instead, I reckon we're likely to see him at the Amex for many more years to come. We're lucky to have him - he will be a key player in many of our great goals and great wins in the Premier League this is season and future seasons.
