Goals, assists, workrate. He's back to his best.

It was a good performance. He is such an important member of the squad, that more often than not is involved with most of our goals in some way.

But he's not back to his best - I don't think he ever will be. There was once a time he could take on several defenders at a time - but that Mitoma has gone. I think he has lost a bit of speed with the injury - and in turn, a bit of confidence to take on his man.

But his game is so much more than that. He is such a clever player, such a team player - his early assist was evidence of that.

I agree he's not "back to his best" but I don't think it's anything to do with the injury. He was a complete unknown that teams were completely unprepared for playing under an attacking manager whose style was all about creating spaces for wingers to burst into and score. Now teams set up better against him and we are less focussed on wingers scoring under FH.

He tore Mazraoui to shreds today and was consistently a yard faster than him. Absolutely devastating throughout most of the game and getting pretty close to what he was able to achieve under RDZ.

Totally agree. What I would add is that having a threat from the right hand side makes such a difference to him. He’s spent most of this season being marked by 2-3 players as we’ve had no threat from the right, and that’s difficult for any player, no matter the level.

Hopefully, with Gruda and Minteh improving, and March getting very slowly back to fitness, room will open up for him to score and assist more regularly as he did today.

That has more to do with the way PL defenders attempt to defend him now, IMO.

His talent has not diminished, on his day he’s one of the most dangerous wide player in the league, unplayable.

Opponents know this, they now give him a lot more respect, hence why it’s been harder for him.

Totally agree. Mostly see two players on him as they know the damage he can do.
It’s a mark of how good he is that he has adapted his game. His touch and control is so good. Albion’s best creative player by some margin and most of the chances we create go through him

Fab (I know, I know) confirming TB told Al-Nassr that he's not for sale. They're still interested but are now looking elsewhere to replace Sadio Mané in the summer.

Remember, Fab(rizio Romano) is more likely to be being paid by Saudi to promote their transfer interests, given his alleged relationships with various agents and clubs.

"Brighton wouldn't let him go" is better PR for them than "Mitoma didn't want to throw his career away for blood money".

Sorry?

You think Hurzeler is being paid by Saudi? And this is influencing his interview answers?

Not sure who said it (may have been Sidwell), but fairly certain one of the commentators/pundits stated last night that Mitoma didn't want to leave. Similar to Joel's recent comments. Happy here for many reasons.
