Gods country fortnightly
Spotted fishing on Dordogne river apparently, and bragging how he's paid in Euro's and his holidays cost him the same as last year. He's off to the outlaws next to console them next after last nights defeat

I believe your dislike for him is clouding your judgement. Would you like for him to be involved after we left the EU? He entered politics and had a huge role for donkeys years and has achieved his aim. There is no rule that stated he should carry on. Before he resigned, many remainers were crying for him to go as UKIP had seemingly run its course and so did the leader of the EU parliament.

It should be elected MP`s that are pulling the strings concerning the brexit negotiations and not unelected Farage. Its bizarre his haters are now fuming he has retired, saying he should have stuck around to be part of that process.
It would be a safe bet to say if he had stuck around and was part of the process they would be screaming that he wasnt an elected MP and why is he involved.

His mission was to get a referendum (check) try to persuade people we should vote to leave (check)
Mission accomplished as far as he is concerned.

I've just about given up trying to understand the rationale behind many comments made by some remainers as there doesn't appear to be any.

Just a series of straw man exaggerations that they can rail against to cope with the Brexit trauma.

They should be blaming Cameron but it seems anything else will do.

Indeed he promised the referendum because of instability within the Tory ranks caused by increasing support for UKIP. He was also the only person who had the power to set up robust Brexit contingency planning increasing the chance of a smoother transition until the new government could agree it's negotiating position. His actions have added to the uncertainty although it could be argued it's best he went immediately so we can get a new team in place asap.

He is a disrupter and yes he has made progress on his agenda. He hasn't got us out of the eu yet though, lots of twists and turns to go. May still be a big fat fail whislt he's somewhere with his german wife

I suspect he has bagged some sun beds with beach towels somewhere warm with with his money made in the city and with his private school education. All good for him whislt those poorest in oir society are worse off, again.

As much as I hate Cameron at least he is not running away scared from something he campaigned for.
No, he is running away from a mess that he created. He gave us a choice, didn't like the answer and folded. I remember lots of comments regarding Farage after the result, people were saying that he should have nothing to do with the negotiations as he wasn't in government. That appeared to be the consensus amongst remainers. Whether he continued or stopped, whichever stance he took, you and others here would criticise him. I understand your dislike of the man as he took something you perceive as precious, away. However, will you tell us that if he had not resigned, that you would not be complaining about him if he was involved in the negotiations? I think you'd complain louder.

This is spot on. Farage was an MEP, his party are not in power, his job has gone, his job for Leave is complete.

When I see someone's updated the thread I get a sudden thought something bad might have happened to him and open it.

Disappointed, I then I get on living with the utter mess of society he has enflamed, with the hatred he has brought out in everyone.
