Brighton owner buys stake in Melbourne Victory
Brighton & Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom has added a minority stake in Australian club Melbourne Victory to his footballing portfolio, purchasing 19.1% of the A-League outfit.

Oh that is wonderful, Victory are my Australian team, after out trip to New Zealand and Australia, loved New Zealand and flew to Sydney and hated it, drove down the coast to Melbourne and loved it, it has similarities to Brighton had a great time and that is probably where the little one was conceived. I went to see the incorrectly named Victory during my year in Oz. I recall seeing them lose to Adelaide Utd. It was unfair though as Adelaide had a 'star' player from England - Julian Allsopp, who from memory was crap at Notts County. He looked decent at that level.
Annoyingly I am now gonna swap team, not proud of myself. Have been sort of backing Melbourne City (Victory’s rivals) just to wind up the son in law. Funnily enough the stadium is shared between the two clubs, corporate type facilities are not too difficult to come buy on a match by match basis.
