A man has been charged after he was caught with an untethered pig in a city centre, in what is believed to be the first case of its kind.

Thomas Murphy-Hankin, 26, was arrested by police officers after he was found shouting and screaming in the street in Norwich.

He was found to have a pig with him, which is illegal as it was running loose, as well as a dog.

Murphy-Hankin was charged with an offence under section 155 of the Highways Act for having an animal loose on a public highway, police said.

Count yourselves lucky.

I live in south Essex so get the local news from East Anglia on the TV.because East Anglian reporters a headquartered in Norwich we get the drivel that goes on in that godforsaken hole in preference to any other area in the 3 counties served.

I’m fed up with tales of ruddy cheeked Norwich farmers not having enough Albanians to pick their spuds or tattooed Norwich salad dodging females being given community services for pathetic and incompetent thefts from Aldi and Poundland.
