Meal Deal Pricing Query

Perhaps me eyes deceived me but in WSU there was no pie and pint deal at any of the outlets (bar the £16 one); and to buy separately was £8.30, up from £7 last season.

Your eyes deceived you :)

There were some meal deals advertised above the outlets but there were A4 printed sheets on all the counters listing all the meal deals and the £7:50 pint plus one food item deal was on there

The price of the food is one thing but the quality is getting worse year on year. People complained about Azure but the stuff now is worse.

Your eyes did not deceive you! The shiny new signs had not mention of the pie & coke/beer deal at all.

Last season they had a hot item, drink and a snack (chocolate or crips) as a reasonably priced meal deal but there was nothing advertising this either. So as I approached the counter I asked the gentleman serving if this meal deal was still being sold to which he replied "yes". I promptly placed my order but then every item was rung up seperately and was not any sort of deal at all!

I can only assume these deals have been discontinued!

I achieved my first ever "zero spend" today and it won't be the last.

Last year they done the meal deal which included a pie, snack and a drink. For 7pound.
Now for the same thing it is £7.80

That was what I was alluding to in my post above. The £7.80 you paid is actually the total price for all 3 as seperate items...So not a meal deal at all!

I hope they bring this back...

Me too. Three pints of Seafarers plus huge basket of chips up the Swan came to a grand total of £12.70. £4.20 for a pint of Harveys at half time? No way Jose.........

3 pints and 3 Guess the filling pies (all Balti!) over £24 - And the quality of the food now makes KFC look like gourmet catering

Del Boy must be running the catering from his Robin Reliant.

Firstly, if you were correct, it would be a Reliant Robin not a Robin Reliant. Otherwise it would be like saying his other car was a Capri Ford. Secondly it wasn't even a Reliant Robin, but a Reliant Regal!

I'll polish my pedant badge on the way out.

Just had a pint as not prepared to pay £8.30. All the deals advertised appeared to be for at least two people. A lot of fans go on their own or pay for their own refreshments.

Although many people clearly find this amusing and I can see the funny side of it. It's almost like a thing Trigger from Only Fools and Horses would do....These people are running our football club, no wonder we can't negotiate a deal for a player. It's really quite disturbing just whose calling the shots.

Indeed, the guy in charge of determining the prices, the guy in charge of the sign writers and all the staff that have walked past the signage and NONE of them have noticed. Or altered....this is the easy stuff....shameful

We need our own brand management team, all the fails lately could be solved. More administration but it is clearly needed. The current set up a a bit crap - The s ticket delivery and errors there, the pos at the tills, no hatrick scratchy, the lack of licence for the outdoor music event planned, the empty till points, the pricing structure of the grub, oh and the kit brand balance with Nike and Amex (controversial!) ;)
