yeah he's a good player but he is by no means the answer to our defensive frayalties (spelling) , am I the only one who think a good few goals this season have been down to him. Is it a suprise that without him we held on against a determined Cardiff + kept a clean sheet v Derby. This McShane hysteria is a bit OTT imho

OK, accept that he ain't the finished article, but he is very good. How many games has he played at this level btw? Give the lad some credit.

I would hazard a guess that you views are in the minority.

From the little I have seen of him I rated him as a no-nonsense defender who read the game well, he has bags of potential, and despite his youth is just the sort of player we should look to bring into the club if we are unable to produce our own in his position.

What are you talking about? You are the first person i have heard who has not rated McShane. And yes it is a surpirse we kept a clean sheet at Derby but i think that something to do with the fact they were Shit.

Excellent player but probably too small to be a top class central defender, but still too good to want to come here permanently.

What happens to El Abd or Guy when he does come back? For that reason alone I hope it's for the rest of the season at least. Back for two games is hardly worth it is it?

Another with potential then eh ?

don't get me wrong , he's a decent player who should get better but lets not get carried away. If we can get him back for a few games then great , if we can sign him excellant . If we don't , nevermind . He's no the greatest thing since sliced bread , good but not great

I do rate him ,
We are a championship side and McShane is simply a reasonable Championship player. I don't think he's a premier league player and we've unearhted a gem as the often over board comments suggest.

I agree with you I'd like to see EL Abd and McShane together though
