McPhee better option than Henderson

Henderson spends too much time concentrating on playing the defender rather than the ball (much like Barrett did lst season), as a result he gives away too many free kicks. He's also rather lazy and doesn't work across the line, severely reducing the options for the midfield when in posession. It's a shame though as when he has the ball he does seem to have an eye for a pass.

McPhee on the other hand works hard to offer an outlet as much as possible and holds the ball up well, giving the midfield time to join in. He needs to improve his finishing and distribution a little, but that will come with more starts in the first team.

I too am happy to hear his loan spell is over. Now McPhee can get regular outings and consequently will develop into a half decent player. If he doesn't at least he'll work hard for us which Henderson never appeared to do.

Is that the offical line ?
I heard today that he was being still with us and that he would return after an assesment by the Board next week.

McPhee forms a much better partnership with Knight than Henderson did, that's for sure. Tho oppo are so busy watching Knight they forget all about the gawky kid in the middle. And Knight's happy to lay the ball off to him. Which is nice.

McPhee certainly deserves his chance but I would still like to see another experienced forward brought in. What happens if Leon ends up getting crocked ?

I agree completely. McPhee looks like he'll be great with experience but he'd struggle without someone like Leon who knows the game better alongside him. Which is why I'd be more than happy if the Owusu rumours are true
