Sorry if this has been recently covered, but doing a search on "McNulty" would bring up too many results.

Just wandering how long its thought to be before he is back fully fit? The left back position is worrying me as El Abd is simply not good enough, even though in fairness he did nothing wrong when he came on vs Brentford, and Jake Wright seems to be very unexperienced at this level and would struggle against a quality winger, although i rate him for the future when he's matured a bit. Obviously it will take a while for McNulty to be fully game sharp, but i see him as a much better option as what we have in his place.

Cheers

El-Abd didn't play at left-back, he came on at right-back and Whingy played on the left side of the defence and I thought he looked stable there.

Jimmy Mac should be back around October.

Ahh yeah my mistake. He did look comfortable at right back but nothing from what i remember really threatened down that side, so luckilly he didn't have the chance to cock things up as usual.

Until he is back I would stick with El Abd at right back and Whing at left back although when he was signed it was said Tunnicliffe can play central defence or right back. In fairness to Adam EL Abd when he has come on this season he hasnt let us down.

Id agree with BensGrandad, play Whing at left back and Tunnicliffe at right back. If he has this "rory delap" throw then that could cause mayhem in the area as we've seen so many times with Stoke. I just don't feel confident with El Abd in the team, especially as if he were to play right/left back against Huddersfield who's 2 best players are wingers.

could someone plese explain to me why tunnicliffe isnt playing, if he can play right back he surely has to be better than el abd and this long throw could be a great asset
