The one thing i find hard to believe is the cost of tickets for the home games, i know its all to do with the ground etc etc, but £23 or thereabouts for a League 1 game is pushing it a bit in my opinion, im sure they have there mathamatic reasons for this amount, i just wonder how many people will pay that sort of money for that level of football ? i must be honest i have not looked into how much other league 1 clubs are charging for home games, but working on the premis that most people will either go with a mate or a partner / wife etc, your talking about close on £50 for a couple of tickets, just seems alot to me.

Yes, because of the youth team defence, which we will strengthen with experienced players by next week.

And you cant carry on believing Mcghee when he says he will bring in players.

Who? We're not going to sign anyone so who are the experienced players that are going to come in and save us?

1,000 less season tickets sold would seem to suggest you are not alone in thinking like you do... However we all know why it is that price but I guess it's hard to fork out that much for little or no return, especially with the shite that was served after Christmas last season and not to mention the lack of any signings with league experience.

Just you wait and see. Some people are so impatient. After all, we have only been trying to buy a striker for 2 years. All good things come to those who wait.:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

"youth team defence"? By that I assume you mean "Tommy Elphick" since the other three were regulars in our defence last season.

Sad to say, but I will probably only go to a couple of home games next season, if any. Partly to do with the cost, add to the entry price the cost of fuel, something to eat and a programme and it soon adds up. I would much rather take in a few away games, visiting places I have never been to before, experiencing a decent atmosphere and probably shelling out slightly less for the privelage.

You know that is going to start the age old argument of home support being the life blood of this club whereas away support only helps the other clubs out. I like to do as many of both as possible because a) I want to aid the club by paying the top heavy prices at Withers and B) I enjoy the atmosphere of away games.

I still think you should give it 10 games before you start calling for his head. He has one of the best ever managerial records in this division.

Yes, I do mean primarily him, chain is only strong as its weakest link and all that, but also El Abd is a youngster still learning his trade at centre-back too. We have seen some good things from him this pre-season and some bad things - it's still a very fne judgement call whether he is ready to be a first-choice CB.

It's 800 less which is not a surprising drop given the relegation and the free-er availability of Withdean tickets now after the expansion, making possession of a ST less of a vital thing.

In each of Mark McGhee's 3 years at Withdean, our average crowd has grown season after season. Did you give him any credit for that?

I find it very hard to believe that MM's style of football has attracted anything other than derision. Better opposition, larger seating for away fans and generally an increase in capacity has been the reason. Even a short-sighted person like yourself should be able to see that. Thats if you ever got head out of MM's arse to look!

Yes, yes they do. It's called trying to keep the club afloat in the face of attempted murder of same by the masonic behind-closed-doors self-serving swine of LDC.
