I find it hard to believe that there is not one single available and willing player who would improve the team, whether he be a defender, midfielder or striker.

and this is why the paying public are pissed off. If we had no money in the coffers for players that would be acceptable we all know the constraints on the club, but no, this is not the case, the club have come out and publically named targets and we have bid 6 figures for someone. we have been in the market for a player/s for months now and we have got NOBODY, whilst other teams around us have got 3 or 4 in, Mcghee has put the hours in but he has failed, pure and simple and this will probably send us down now.

I believe it. Which is why I'm even more pissed off we have failed to get anyone when the funds are there.

Indeed

but the really interesting point is that we were willing to pay a 100g for a player that will be offloaded for 20 grand at the end of the season, but we are not prepared to break the clubs wage structure for a frickin loan

As I said in another thread, there must be someone out there even if it is an ageing has been.
