From this morning's Argus.

Sounds like a completely honourable thing to do IMHO. Top marks to the man

I am 100% behind MM and hope that he signs a new contract very soon but am a little puzzled by his obsession with playing Virgo up front.

It is common knowledge that Carl Asaba nearly signed on deadline day but that is the type of player we need or rather needed to get us up the table rather than perservere with playing Virgo out of poisition and weakening the defence.

How many goals have we conceeded since Virgo went up front?

How many have we scored?

According to Race

He wasn't even close to signing as he already has a club sorted for next season.
We were not in the running

Dunno, it might mean he doesn't want to go down to a lower division, and would like to consider other offers if potless little BHA get relegated.

"I could not make anything happen at Brighton without the funds - we performed miracles to be in the Championship for that long"

Just keep us up Mark McGhee. None of us wants to see a failure.

You didn't notice the date of the thread.
We won at Rotherham and he signed a 2 year deal.

He is a nice guy but he does not have the talent to spot players who cost nothing and who can do a job for us. Unlike Mickey and Coppell who where very clever at this.

Okay, thanks Yorkie. Then take away the first sentence as it won't apply - but the other two still would.

EVERY manager for Brighton has the same challenge and the same excuse if they fail - that we are potless and against the odds in this division.

Still, money isn't everything. Getting rid of talented players because they won't put themselves out also holds inherent questions - why won't they, and why can't he manage to get them motivated to want to put themselves out?

I am not making any statement that MM is not capable, but I am putting the question.

And answered very succintly by Jim D in the FDM thread.
