I have serious misgivings here, how connected to Archer is Bloom and if this takeover thing is true, what are the motives?

magoo's leaving/being forced out by the end of the week due to:
a) a mystery evil investor.
b) a mystery investor who is benevolent.
Apparently the mystery investor is witholding his mystery investing until Magoo is replaced.
The board is split on magoo's future. This has been intrepeted as:
a) healthy. It's democracy in action.
b) Bad. It's civil war in the boardroom.
Some people think the mystery investor holding back his mystery investing is a good thing. Some think it's a bad thing.
As a side issue, BensGrandad is talking about another, or possibly the same, mystery investor- who apparently everybody knows but he won't name because the well known mystery investor wants to remain a mysyerious mystery investor and so by telling us the name of the mystery investor who we all already know will blow his cover from the one person(thats me) who apparently doesn&t know who this well known but un-named mystery investor is- wants to redevelop Withdean into a 15,000 seater cauldron of a grade A stadium.
Perseus has yet to enter the fray.

Because somewhere between 'this is Naylor fabrication' and 'there is a boardroom coup' lies the truth. Somewhere.Icy Gull said:Maybe I'm being thick here but why would Naylor put his own job on the line by printing a little story he'd cooked up with MM on the golf course. On the one hand we have all the MM outers leaping around saying there's nothing to this but a little disagreement between the board and hardly able to contain their glee. On the other are those who think that this just might run deeper than just getting MM out.
The only bit that has me totally confused is why Naylor would make things up and go to these lengths because he wants to keep MM in a job Surely someone from the board would have quashed this by now, if there wasn't some truth in it?

(Cheers to Albion Rob and the Realist for their posts).
EDIT: Sorry, make that 16 pages!

tedebear said:play what?? the game where you all surmise over something which none of you have any idea as to the thoughts of a particular manager nor know the outcome then equate it to a digestive biscuit and have a virtual punchup over the tactics of board meetings to which not one of us is a fly on the wall!!
SUPER game that!!
